POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – York College earned the top spot in the 2014 MCAC Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll released Wednesday (Feb. 19).

York College, the 2013 MCAC Tournament Champion, advanced to the NAIA World Series in Lewiston, Idaho, last season, posting a 44-12 overall record (19-3 MCAC). The Panthers enter 2014 ranked sixth nationally in the NAIA Preseason Top 25.

Bellevue University, the 2013 MCAC Regular Season Champion with a 21-3 league record, grabbed the No. 2 position in the preseason conference coaches' poll after compiling a 45-10-1 overall record last season, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the third-straight season. The Bruins are ranked 14th in the NAIA Preseason Top 25.  

Rounding out the rankings are Oklahoma Wesleyan University (3rd), Central Baptist College (4th), College of the Ozarks (5th), Waldorf College (6th) and Central Christian College (7th).
