Freshman goalkeeper Leah Stringer of the Central Christian College women’s soccer team has been named MCAC Women’s Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21.

Stringer (Mesquite, Texas) posted two shutouts last week as Central Christian clinched a spot in the MCAC Postseason Tournament.  She grabbed four saves in a pair of wins over Bethany College and Oklahoma Wesleyan, while grabbing 15 saves in a 1-0 setback to College of Saint Mary.

The Tigers are 11-7 overall and 2-3 in conference play this season.
