Junior Desmand Yankey of the Park University men’s soccer team has been named MCAC Men’s Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 21.

A native of Wichita, Kan., he scored four goals last week for the Pirates as they clinched the 2007 MCAC Regular Season Championship.  In a 5-0 win at York College early in the week, he posted a hat trick.  On Saturday, Yankey scored a goal in Park’s 2-0 win over Bellevue University.

The Pirates are 10-4 overall and will host the MCAC Postseason Tournament this weekend in Parkville, Mo.
