Junior guard Josie Sparkman of the College of the Ozarks has been named MCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 18.

Sparkman (Republic, Mo.) scored 34 points to go along with four rebounds, three assists and two steals in the Bobcats’ 85-58 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Saturday.  The win clinched the regular season conference championship for Ozarks.  On the week, she averaged 21.0 points per game and was 14-of-20 from the field (70.0 percent).

The top-ranked Bobcats are 27-1 overall and 10-0 in MCAC action.
