POINT LOOKOUT, MO. – The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2007-08 All-MCAC Women’s Basketball Team in conjunction with the MCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament Friday and Saturday in Point Lookout, Mo.

Senior Janessa DeMuth of the College of the Ozarks earned MCAC Player of the Year honors by ranking third in the conference in scoring (16.8 points per game) and first in steals (4.1 steals per game).  Junior Emily Nichols of the College of the Ozarks was named MCAC Newcomer of the Year, while Nyahok Duop of the College of Saint Mary was tabbed MCAC Freshman of the Year.

Ozarks Head Coach George Wilson earned his fourth consecutive MCAC Coach of Year honor by leading the Bobcats to a No. 1 NAIA national ranking for the entire season en route to compiling a 31-1 overall record.  After capturing the MCAC Tournament Championship on Saturday, Wilson and the Bobcats earned an automatic bid to the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Tournament March 12-18 in Sioux City, Iowa.
