PARKVILLE, MO. – The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2008 All-MCAC Softball Teams in conjunction with the MCAC Softball Tournament Thursday in Parkville, Mo.

Bellevue University's Skye Wakefield was named the MCAC Player of the Year by leading the conference with a .484 batting average this season.  Bellevue's Jennifer Miller earned MCAC Pitcher of the Year honors with a 1.49 ERA over 108.1 innings pitched, while Park University's Alicia Wedel was tabbed MCAC Newcomer of the Year.

Park head coach Amy Reif was selected MCAC Coach of the Year after leading the Pirates to the conference regular season crown with a 10-2 league record, marking the school's first-ever MCAC Softball Championship.
