2008 All-MCAC Women's Soccer Teams Posted by MCAC SID - Thu, Nov 13, 2008 - [ Women's Soccer ] - Viewed 912 times PARKVILLE, MO. - The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2008 All-MCAC Women's Soccer Teams Thursday following the completion of the MCAC Women's Soccer Tournament last weekend in Parkville, Mo. Freshman forward Ashley Maxwell of Park University was selected the conference's Offensive Player of the Year after scoring a team-best 13 goals this season for the ninth-ranked Pirates. Park's Dena Pires, a senior defender, and Central Christian College's Leah Stringer, a sophomore goalkeeper, were honored as MCAC Co-Defensive Players of the Year. Ken Hefner of Park, Andy Nicolarsen of Bellevue University and Mike Reimer of Central Christian were all three named MCAC Co-Coaches of the Year. Park, the 2008 MCAC Regular Season and Tournament Champion, led all conference schools with nine selections, while Bellevue had seven players honored.
