POINT LOOKOUT, MO. - The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2008-09 All-MCAC Women's Basketball Team over the weekend in conjunction with the 2008-09 MCAC Women's Basketball Tournament in Point Lookout, Mo.
Senior guard Kayli Combs of the College of the Ozarks was named MCAC Player of the Year after leading the Bobcats to conference regular season and tournament titles by averaging 15.97 points per game. Peru State College forward Monique McDuffie was selected MCAC Freshman of the Year, while Ozarks junior center Emily Bell was named MCAC Newcomer of the Year.
Haskell Indian Nations University head coach Phil Homeratha was voted MCAC Coach of the Year, guiding the Indians to a 16-9 overall record (8-4 MCAC).
