OMAHA, NEB. - The Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference announced the 2009 All-MCAC Baseball Team Monday in conjunction with the 2009 MCAC Baseball Tournament in Omaha, Neb.
Junior infielder Louie Templeton of Bellevue University earned MCAC Player of the Year honors by hitting .415 this season with eight homers, 42 RBI, 10 doubles and 44 runs scored. Senior Josh Hake of Park University was named MCAC Pitcher of the Year after compiling an 8-1 record in 2009 with a 2.92 ERA, 70 strikeouts, six complete games and one save.
Bellevue head coach Mike Evans was tapped MCAC Coach of the Year after leading the Bruins to a 21-3 conference record this season (36-10 overall).
