Freshman goalkeeper Sarah Boone of Bellevue University has been named MCAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 8.

Boone, a native of Bellevue, Neb., recorded two shutouts last week en route to helping the Bruins to the MCAC Tournament Championship.  She grabbed three saves in BU's 3-0 win over the College of Saint Mary in the tournament final.

Bellevue is 13-6 overall and will now participate in the unaffiliated national tournament qualifier in Dallas, Texas, this week.
