Senior guard Justina George of Haskell Indian Nations University has been named MCAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 17.

A native of Ramah, N.M., George averaged 16.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 6.0 steals per game last week as the 19th-ranked Indians opened the conference schedule with two wins.  In a 60-42 win over Central Christian College, she had 18 points, 11 rebounds, six steals and five assists.

Haskell is 14-3 overall (2-0 MCAC).
