Senior guard Steve Briggs of Oklahoma Wesleyan University has been named MCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 24.

A native of Duncanville, Texas, Briggs averaged 26.0 points and 5.0 assists per game last week in leading the top-ranked Eagles to a 3-0 record.  In a 112-82 win over Central Christian College, he scored a career-high 46 points to go along with a career-best seven assists.  Briggs knocked down 17 three-point field goals last week (35 attempts).

Oklahoma Wesleyan is 20-0 overall and 4-0 in the MCAC.
