Senior guard Steve Briggs of Oklahoma Wesleyan University has been named MCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 7.

Briggs, a native of Duncanville, Texas, averaged 29.5 points, 4.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds per game last week as the second-ranked Eagles posted a 1-1 record.  In a 75-73 setback at the College of the Ozarks, he had 40 points, three rebounds and three assists.  

Oklahoma Wesleyan is 22-2 overall (6-2 MCAC).
