Freshman catcher Emily Maresh of Peru State College has been named MCAC Softball Player of the Week for the week ending April 18. 

A native of Central City, Neb., Maresh hit .643 (9-for-14) last week helping the Bobcats to a 4-0 record, which included a pair of sweeps vs. conference opponents.  She had eight runs scored, three doubles, three homers and six RBI for the week.  In a 6-5 win vs. College of Saint Mary, she had a pair of home runs, including the game-winner in the bottom of the ninth.

Peru State is 18-18 overall this season (4-2 MCAC).
