Senior Aly Bowers of Bellevue University has been named MCAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week ending May 2.

A native of Norfolk, Neb., Bowers posted a 3-0 record last week with a 1.00 ERA over 14.00 innings of work.  In a 9-1 win at Buena Vista, she struck out eight batters and allowed just two hits in the 5.0-inning victory.  For the week, Bowers had 17 strikeouts.

The Bruins are 29-14 overall (10-0 MCAC).
