Senior catcher Alyssa Mangum of Peru State College has been named MCAC Softball Player of the Week for the week ending May 1.

Mangum (Nebraska City, Neb.) hit .357 last week (5-for-14) over four games last week for the Bobcats, driving in nine runs.  She also added three runs scored, a home run and two doubles.

Peru State is 31-21 in 2011 (10-2 MCAC).
