Junior guard James Parrott of Bellevue University has been named MCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19.
Parrott, a native of Omaha, Neb., averaged 22.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game last week in leading the seventh-ranked Bruins to a 3-0 record. In an 83-68 win at York College, he had 28 points and nine rebounds. For the week, he was 26-of-45 from the field (57.8 percent), including 7-for-17 from beyond the three-point line (41.2 percent).
Bellevue, the MCAC Regular Season Champion, is 25-5 on the season.
