Senior guard Thadd Varmall of York College has been named MCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Jan. 6.

A native of Dallas, Texas, Varmall averaged 33.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game last week as the Panthers posted a pair of victories over Central Baptist College.  In a 109-96 win over Central Baptist, he had 49 points on 20-of-31 shooting from the field to go along with 10 rebounds.

York is 12-3 on the season.
