Are You on Gordon Ramsay's Side of This Fiery Food Debate... Or Are You (in His Words) an "Old Fart?"

The chef doesn't care for people who are behind the times, and he's not afraid to call them out.

To photograph or not to photograph? It's the eternal question when you go out to eat. On the one hand, sure, you should probably just be enjoying your meal and the people you're with instead of playing with your phone the whole time. But on the other hand, sometimes a dish just looks too damn good not to shoot. Pics or it didn't happen, right?

But not everyone feels that food photos in restaurants are worth their salt. Michael and Albert Roux, the brothers who own and operate The Waterside Inn, a renowned British restaurant that's held three Michelin stars since 1985, are planted firmly in the anti- camp when it comes to taking pictures of the dishes in their restaurant.

So much so that GrubStreet reports they've actually banned the practice at the Waterside Inn, following previous threats to toss customer's cell phones in an ice bucket. Their argument is that photographs can't accurately convey the deliciousness of their food. And if that sentiment made your eyes strain from rolling them so hard, you'll be happy to know you've got company: Gordon F***ing Ramsay!

Unsurprisingly, Chef Ramsay is a forward-thinking, 21st century guy who supports customers that want to take pictures of their food, and even more unsurprisingly, he's not afraid to call the Roux brothers out about it.

To recap, this is world-famous chef Gordon Ramsay calling a pair of highly-decorated fellow British chefs "old farts." But of course he provided more explanation than just that.

Obviously Twitter users were overwhelmingly supportive of Ramsay's rant — the correlation between people who use Twitter and people who photograph their food is probably high — but we imagine the Roux brothers wouldn't care too much what Twitter has to say.

Assuming they ever found out what it is.
