Drinking, dancing, partying, gambling, tanning… there’s always been a lot to do on the famous Las Vegas Boulevard Strip and inside its storied casinos. But soon there will be a brand new offering you probably never expected to see there: water skiing.
Yup, that’s happening — along with paddle boarding and other activities as part of a project prosed by casino giant Steve Wynn, and announced at an investor meeting, according to Bloomberg.
Where would Wynn come up with that space? Well he plans to convert his Tom Fazio-designed Wynn Golf Club into the new resort, which would include the lake and a mile-long boardwalk. The resort would also offer a fireworks show every night (naturally). As for the name? It would likely be called Paradise Park.
The new resort would have 1,000 hotel rooms — and its price tag could hit a cool $1.6 billion. Wynn called it “the most fun project in my 45 years,” according to Bloomberg. “Somebody take the other side, tell me what’s wrong with this idea? We’ve all drunk the Kool-Aid.”
Nope, we’re all in on this idea too.
But he’s got other fun things in the pipeline as well: Wynn’s new Macau property, slated to open this summer, has a gondola ride and a lake with fountains like the famous ones at the Vegas Strip’s Bellagio.
