What Did Vicki Gunvalson Think of How the OC Housewives Reacted to Her Health Scare in Iceland?

"When somebody's sick or hurt, you do the right thing."

The Real Housewives of Orange County's trip to Iceland has been filled with a lot of fun moments, as well as some frightening ones. In particular, Vicki Gunvalson was rushed to the hospital after falling severely ill following a big day of sightseeing.

Unfortunately, this incident may have seemed familiar to RHOC fans after Vicki was airlifted to a hospital after flipping over in an ATV, along with Tamra Judge, Kelly Dodd, and Heather Dubrow, during a trip to Glamis, California last season. However, Vicki told Bravotv.com that her medical emergency in Iceland was a "completely different" experience. "I was really injured in that ATV accident for a long time afterward. I'm good now," Vicki shared. "But this wasn't an injury. I've had some blood pressure issues [Vicki was diagnosed with elevated blood pressure]."

Of course, RHOC fans may also remember the controversy over how some of the ladies reacted to Vicki's hospitalization last season, but as we saw in Monday night's episode, everyone was there for their friend. In fact, Vicki said that she was pleased with how the RHOC squad had her back during her time of need. "The ladies were very kind, very nice. It was really nice to get back to the hotel, actually. They were really concerned," she said. "Peggy [Sulahian] went with me to the hospital, which was nice."

Vicki said she wasn't surprised to receive that kind of support from the group, even though things have been tense this season. "No, because that's compassionate. When somebody's sick or hurt, you do the right thing," she told Bravotv.com. "You put all your anger aside and your animosity aside and you do what's right. You be there for each other."

Even Peggy's husband Diko Sulahian wanted to help from afar. "Diko called [my boyfriend] Steve [Lodge], he's like, 'We're going to Iceland. We're going to get Vicki.' So Steve's like, 'Hold on a second. Let's see what's wrong,'" Vicki recalled. "So [there were] actually high emotions. When somebody's in another country, and you get rushed by ambulance, it's scary."

As we saw during Monday night's episode, the drama continued after Vicki returned from the hospital as she shared an intense, emotional moment with Tamra. "When I got back, the viewers [saw] some really interesting emotions that we went through as a group. Those cast trips are always something else, aren't they?" Vicki said with a laugh. "A lot of things happen on those trips. But I'm a big believer in everything will be OK."

The Iceland drama isn't over yet. Jaws are sure to drop over next Monday's episode at 9/8c. Check out a preview, below.
